Institutional Scholarships
Institutional Scholarship awards are approved by the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Scholarship Committee.
The Institutional scholarship will open on September 1st and will be awarded until funds are no longer are available. The Scholarship Committee reviews the applications, and the awards are made through the Financial Aid Office. Students must apply online at UA Rich Mountain Scholarship Application website.
This scholarship supports students who want to get involved in student leadership at UA Rich Mountain. It is open to those interested in serving in the Student Government Association (SGA) or as a UA Rich Mountain Ambassador.
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a 3.0 GPA (from high school or college)

How the experience will help you grow or improve

Scholarship Award Amounts
Award amount is $1,000 per semester.
Renewal Criteria
This scholarship is renewable for up to 4 semesters. To remain eligible, you must:

Maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Be enrolled full-time each semester at UA Rich Mountain
- Meet other requirements as determined by SGA Advisor
This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and characteristics. It is designed to support emerging student leaders as they grow through involvement at UA Rich Mountain.

This scholarship is renewable for up to 2 semesters. To remain eligible, you must:

Maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Be enrolled full-time each semester at UA Rich Mountain
- Meet other requirements as determined by Scholarship Committee
Scholarship to be used toward on campus housing. Students applying must live within 90 miles of campus.
*NOTE: Due to NJCAA rules, student athletes are not eligible for this scholarship.
Criteria to renew: Maintain the UA Rich Mountain satisfactory academic progress policy.
This scholarship is designed for students who earned college credit in high school through UA Rich Mountain’s Concurrent Credit Program or the Career Center. Award amounts are based on the number of college credit hours earned before enrolling as a regular student.
Scholarship Award Amount
Award amounts are determined by the number of Concurrent or Career Center credit hours earned in high school:

9–14 credit hours: $500 per semester

25+ credit hours: $750 per semester
Note: Award amounts will be prorated if the student is not enrolled full-time.
Renewal Criteria
To continue receiving the SEFS Scholarship, students must:

Maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA

Be enrolled full-time each semester at UA Rich Mountain
Scholarship Duration
This scholarship is available until one of the following is met:

Completion of 90 attempted credit hours, or
-
Earning an associate degree or certificate
Disclaimer: Once an associate degree or certificate is obtained, the student is no longer eligible for the SEFS Scholarship.
