Board of Trustees, Chancellor, and Vice Chancellors' Scholarships

UA Rich Mountain is proud to support the academic goals of high-achieving students from our service area. We offer a limited number of performance-based scholarships to incoming freshmen who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community service, and strong personal character. These scholarships are designed to reward students for their achievements and to help reduce the financial barriers to higher education.

Application Period:
Opens September 1
Applications are reviewed monthly by the UARM Scholarship Committee until all funds have been awarded.

Minimum enrollment: Students must enroll in at least 12 semester credit hours each term to be eligible.

Award Details

  • Full tuition coverage for up to 15 credit hours per semester

  • Book allowance to assist with the cost of textbooks up to 15 credit hours per semester

  • Renewable for up to four consecutive semesters (fall and spring only)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Board of Trustees Scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school GPA of 3.75 or higher

  • ACT score of 25 or higher
    -or-
    SAT score of 1200 or higher

  • Full tuition coverage for up to 15 credit hours per semester

  • Renewable for up to four consecutive semesters (fall and spring only)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Chancellor’s Scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school GPA of 3.50 or higher

  • ACT score of 24
    -or-
    SAT score between 1160–1190

Award Details

  • $500 scholarship per semester

  • Book allowance for up to 15 credit hours per semester

  • Renewable for up to four consecutive semesters (fall and spring only)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Vice Chancellors’ Scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • High school GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • ACT score of 23
    -or-
    SAT score between 1130–1150

Scholarship Renewal Requirements (All Scholarships)

To maintain eligibility and continue receiving your scholarship award in subsequent semesters, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete a minimum of 12 semester credit hours each term (including developmental courses)

  • Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA while enrolled at UA Rich Mountain

  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student during each fall and spring semester

Scholarship awards are limited to four consecutive semesters and do not apply to summer terms.

GED Scholarship

The GED Scholarship may be awarded each year to graduates of the UA Rich Mountain Adult Education Center. To qualify, students must score at least 150 on each exam with a composite score of 600 on the GED exam and have been a full-time student in the GED program at UA Rich Mountain. Qualified students will receive an invitation to apply from the Adult Education Center and must complete an essay stating the reason they are requesting the scholarship. The GED scholarship pays a $500 per semester scholarship and book stipend up to 15 credit hours. The scholarship is renewable for up to four consecutive semesters, excluding summer terms, provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA. The recipients must enroll on a full-time basis in order to be eligible.

UA Rich Mountain will only accept ACT or SAT scores for Academic scholarships.

UA Rich Mountain will super score for Academic Scholarships.
