Since 2010, David Alley has served on the RMCC Foundation Board of Directors and he and his wife Kay made the decision to support an annual scholarship to assist UA Rich Mountain students in allied health programs achieve their educational and career goals. David and Kay Alley retired to Mena in 1995. During their careers, David worked as an accountant and Kay as a registered nurse. Since their retirement, they have served in numerous volunteer capacities to improve the quality of life for the residents of Polk County and the Ouachita Mountain Region. Through the David and Kay Alley Designated Scholarship Fund established through the UA Rich Mountain Foundation, their desire is to provide opportunities and resources for UA Rich Mountain students to have access to higher education, achieve their higher educational goals, and provide better health care in the Ouachita Mountain Region.
